Individual Adult Therapy

A space of your own to work things through.

Adult clients come to Kristen for their own reasons — not as an extension of a child’s care. Sessions are private, unhurried, and built around what you want to be different.

Common Reasons People Reach Out

You don’t need a crisis to justify a first session.

Anxiety

Persistent worry, overthinking, and a body that won’t settle.

Depression & low mood

Flatness, exhaustion, and losing interest in what used to matter.

Trauma

Past experiences that still shape how safe the present feels.

OCD

Intrusive thoughts and the rituals built to keep them quiet.

Grief

The sadness, change, and uncertainty that can follow a significant loss

Perfectionism & burnout

High standards that stopped being useful somewhere along the way.

ADHD & late diagnosis

Making sense of a brain that was never quite accounted for.

Life transitions

Parenthood, relationships, work, or a change you didn’t choose.

How We Work

Structured enough to make progress. Flexible enough to be human.

Kristen draws primarily on CBT and DBT-informed skills. In practice that means we look closely at the patterns you’re caught in, and then build tools you can use between sessions — not only insight, but something to do with it.

Early sessions establish what you want to change and what has already been tried. From there the pace is yours. Some clients come weekly for a defined stretch; others check in less often over a longer period.

Everything discussed is confidential, within the limits set out by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

Support that fits into real life.

In person

A quiet, comfortable room with natural light. For many people, leaving the house is part of what makes the hour feel separate from everything else.

Same work, from wherever you are. Useful when travel, childcare, or a full week would otherwise make therapy impossible to sustain.

A Gentle First Step

You don't need to have all the answers before reaching out.

Sometimes the hardest part is simply knowing where to begin. Whether you're concerned about your child, looking for support as a parent, or considering therapy for yourself, you can start with a simple conversation. Let's talk about what you're navigating—and what support could look like.
